Run Liverpool Womens 10K 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run – Sunday May 9th

THIS ONE IS JUST FOR THE GIRLS!

Come and join over 2500 women running round the recently redeveloped Sefton Park in the suburbs of Liverpool. Come for the exercise, come for the competition, come for the camerarderie, come to run for your charity. Entries are now being taken online or by post.

Run Liverpool Mersey Tunnel 10K – Sunday May 30th

Run point to point from Liverpool city centre through the Wallasey Tunnel and onto New Brighton on Wirral. This is a 10K race with a difference, ask anyone who has tackled the incine out of the tunnel.

The Santa Dash saw the Capital of Culture Year out in style and with the prospect of a City Center Half Marathon approaching, things are definitely looking good for the year ahead.

The Run Liverpool website is being updated at the moment and will feature information about all 2009 races along with entry details.

One of Liverpool’s most unusual races, this point to point 10K takes you underneath the famous River Mersey via the Kingsway Tunnel.

You don’t even have to worry about transport as Mersey Rail very kindly provide FREE train travel on the Wirral and Northern lines for runners to get to and from the start and finish areas.

All you have to do is the bit in between.

The Mersey 2008 Mersey Tunnel 2008 was a huge success. Here’s a comment from one of Run City Liverpool’s members:

Hello folks.

A great course I thought. Did the Queensway tunnel 10k some years back, I think it was it’s 60th anniversary so must’ve been 1994 – so had to do this one to complete the set – assuming they’re not going to have us running through the railway tunnel, I mean you’d go over on your ankle with all those sleepers.
